OPINIONS ON OUR FALL PLAY?

So at the meeting the other day, we had a discussion on what our fall play will be. This is a list of a few options for this year.

-Twelth Night
-Romeo and Juliet
-A Mid Summers Night's Dream
-My Bloody Valentine
-Richard III (James suggested this one obviously)
-Children's Hour
-MacBeth
-Titus
-White Guard
-The Outsiders

Now these aren't the only things we have down because we are looking for a few more possible plays. If you have an idea of something you want to do, contact Thalia or me at any time and we will write it down in the official thespian notebook. Also, this is now a general discussion of which one you all would like to perform.

There's only a few people who really want Shakespeare..

I really like A Mid Summer Night's Dream. I do like the idea of doing something edgy and different, but I really wanna do Shakespeare, too. I hope we can do two straight plays so we can incorporate both!

I agree with Jordan. Personally, I don't want to do Shakespeare at all and instead something modern

We don't have time for Shakespeare. We should do Voices from the Shore. For Mrs B. She would want that

Yeah, a bigger cast for sure. Like Alex said, a small cast is no fun. I don't want to sound rude, but does anyone even know what the Voices From The Shore is about? You guys are so eager to put on this show, but no one's really mentioned what it's about. If someone knows, mind filling me in? Again, i'm not trying to be rude.

@Tami: Voices from the Shore is about a boy with schizophrenia who's checked in to a mental hospital and meets other clinically insane people.

I personally hope we can do something edgy, not just in a sexual way, but something that takes risks or is a bit twisted. I'll look for actual names sometime this weekend.

I looked up Cloud Nine. It actually sounds pretty cool. BUT it is very provocative. There will have to be some changes. The first act is British colonial times in Africa. Then the second act is London 1979. Deals with sexual orientation issues and things like that. Look it up!

Cloud 9 would be fun... but, its kind of veryyyy controversia, it might be over doing it.

As much as I would like to do Shakespeare, I wanna leave it to everyone else. I just want something edgy with a large cast. That would be perfect.
